Isocheck Acoustic Cradle installation instructions
The versatile cradle and batten system with unique, patented, recycled rubber crumb cradles comply with Robust Detail FFT2. Widely used where Pre-Completion Testing is required and in refurbishment and new build projects, these systems can be levelled on-site to eliminate variations in the structural floor surface and can accommodate services. When increased finished floor heights are required, to cater for specific design criteria, deep services or very uneven sub-bases, cradle base packers or deep cradle battens are available for rapid, cost-effective height adjustment. The cradle base packers may be used in multiples to achieve the desired finished floor height. Deeper battens are generally used in larger projects and where a consistent high void is required. Access runs can easily be created by the introduction of removable boards cut to suit. Ensure that the access run boards and adjoining floor boards meet in the centre of a batten and that the access boards are supported by the introduction of cross-battens located with the cradles. Additional battens and cradles may be required to suit the position of the access runs. Toggle navigation.
Used within both new build and refurbishment projects Hush-Cradles can help correct discrepancies in concrete and timber floors, without the use of fiddly packers and are ideal for creating a service void as part of a sound insulation system. For advice on the use of Hush-Cradle, as part of a system within any project, please contact our experienced technical team on who will be happy to give comprehensive and practical advice to meet with your requirements. Set out the cradles at the required centres and install the battens with the joins directly over a cradle. Levelling is carried out by adjusting the 'O' support ring up and down the threads, as required. Lock by turning the carrier upstands against the battens. When planning the floor layout leave a mm expansion gap around all perimeters, fix the flooring to the battens using a generous amount of Hush-Bond Panel Adhesive and secure with ring nails or screws. At the same time the flooring boards should be glued at all teegee joints board to board.
