Precept - Monies Collected Via Council Tax From The Community The Town Council sets Financial Budgets in January for the forthcoming Fiscal Year (April to March) and raises the required funds by way of Precept from the District Council which is in turn collected from the Community by way of Council Tax. The current Budget verse the current Expenditure is presented to Council every four months throughout the fiscal year. The Town Council has a robust Internal and External Audit System and the Audited Accounts and Annual Return is published within 6 months of Year-end.
